Constitution Lecture Series PROject
The Constitution Lecture Series Project is offered to as many local 5th grade classrooms in the Clark County School District as possible.  Our objective is to educate and inspire children to learn more about the intrinsic value of the Constitution, the rule of law and the importance of protecting the individual rights of the people.

We provide all study materials from LibertyDay.Org for teachers and students to cover prior to the lecture.  Later, a lecture is scheduled with an experienced, well qualified judge or attorney to come into the classroom and talk about the Constitution, what it means and the importance of it in the daily lives of all Americans. The kids are also encouraged to participate in the art/essay contests and the essay  theme is 'What the Constitution means to me', and we award great prizes to the winners at the end of the school year.

In May 2011, the 1st lecture was held with the expressed intent to awaken a desire in our kids to want to learn about the founding of our country, the U.S. Constitution, and how these principles for which we stand affect their lives now and in the future.

The Battle for Freedom Project (Lex/Rex) promotes American principles via storytelling. We hope it inspires and encourages children to learn more about the founding of the United States of America.

The notion of Lex/Rex (the Law and the King), was written circa 1644 by Rev. Samuel Rutherford. It challenged the prerogative of the King's power over the rights of the people.

We have brought that idea of the rule of law (Lex) versus the rule of man (Rex) to life in a simple and fun comic book format that kids can understand. The Chronicles of Lex versus Rex is a fictional graphic novel with historical content weaved into the story.  We want kids to recognize and appreciate the sacrifices made by our founding fathers to declare their independence from the King of England and establish a new nation founded on the fundamental belief that the power is with the people and the law is king.

It is through The Chronicles of LEX vs REX that we tell America's story and document the struggle to institute a form of government that strives to protect the individual rights of all the people. The battle between the Law and the King continues today.
